Merry Christmas!

Hey, everyone! I hope that everyone had a Merry X-mas!

Brad and I are happy to announce that we are expecting a baby GIRL!!! We are very anxious and excited, and can't wait for her to be born.

Brad and I drove up to Bakersfield last night so that we could spend Christmas morning with his family. We got ready at seven in the morning and opened up presents and had breakfast. It was really nice seeing everyone together. We had a great time.

Cute little Lexi. Brad's oldest brother's daughter.

A Boy or A Girl?!?!

Hey guys! Many of you are wondering if we have found the sex of our baby. The answer is yes, but we are keeping that confidential between Brad and I until Christmas. Brad doesn't want to tell anyone until Christmas when our family will find out what we are having. It is so hard not to say anything. I would totally say, but our family looks at our blog and we don't want to give out any clues.

We are very excited and can't wait until Christmas! We hope that you guys have a Happy Holiday and wish you all a very happy new year!

P.S.
I will post up my belly shot sometime next week or so;)

We Are Still Alive!

So sorry for those who keeps checking our blog. I've been sick and at times lazy to work on anything...

Brad and I are doing great. Brad is busy going to work and going to the airport to get his flight instructor's license. We are still hoping that he can get into air ops. by next year. Brad has to wait for two years min. to get in. His one year is almost up (in March). We can't wait, so that we can attempt to buy a house down here. Buying a house in L.A. is not cheap guys!

So last weekend, Brad and I went to the CHP X-mas party. It was fun meeting new people and hanging out with some that had graduated with Brad in March. I would love to post pictures of the party, but my lovely husband forgot to bring the camera for us... But here is a picture of us recently taken at the Hollywood studios (we went back for the second time)

Don't we look awesome or what?!?!

Here is another picture of us. It's at some random street corner... Yes, it's random, but we were trying out differ. places to take some pictures for our x-mas cards.

I went to a differ. doctor today to get higher advanced ultra sound done. The doctor happened to be LDS as well. He is a fetal diagnosis doctor. He was really nice and told me everything is developing very well and that the baby is healthy! Yay! So what do you guys think... Boy or Girl!?!?!??!

Hope everyone is doing well!

P.S.
I, for the first time threw up at 19 weeks. Not just once, twice, three times, but 7 times in a row. However, I think I had food poisoning... I won't go in details. I hope I didn't disgust all you pregos out there... Have a wonderful day=)

Happy Turkey!

Have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving guys! I'm off to San Diego tomorrow to spend my Thanksgiving day with my brother and sister. I will post something up on the weekend, since many are wondering where the pictures are...;)

Have a fun day and eat lots of turkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OUch!

My back has been hurting a lot lately. I've been taking hot showers everyday to try to relax my muscle. Having a waitressing job doesn't help, but it sure is a good exercise;)

These couple of days, I've been worrying and thinking about how I am going to deliver this baby. I have this fear of delivering! I know, I know... Many women have done it, but I'm terrified. AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

I expressed my worry to Brad and his response was a laugh. He thinks it's funny. Sometimes I wish that men can go through what women go through, as far as being prego and try to deliver a baby when it is time. Sometimes, I wonder how Brad's mom had 10 babies.

So far, I haven't gained any weight but I'm sure I will make up towards my last trimester. I was just looking through the internet and did this Chinese calendar test to determine the sex of the baby. According to the test, I"m having a boy! I know it's just a test, but I have a good feeling that it is going to be a boy. Brad and I are both actually hoping for a boy first. We will just have to wait and see...

Doctors Visit

I went in for my last of my first trimester doctor's visit yesterday. I was so worried, but I heard the baby's heart beat again. I felt so relieved, tell ya! It was beating so fast, I couldn't believe it! I still can't believe that I'm pregnant either... But I am very happy that I am and I can't wait to meet this new baby.

So the past 1 1/2 months, I've been having headaches, stomach aches, and , wanting to throw up( but can't), but I think it is slowly disappearing. For the last month or so, I haven't been able to brush my teeth the way I been wanting to. every time I have too much toothpaste in my mouth or try cleaning my tongue with a toothbrush, I start gagging horribly, leaving me with a stomach ache. Anyone experience this?!?!

Couple of days ago( Tuesday), I went to work and as soon as I had arrived, there were tables waiting for me to serve them. So I hurry up and went to the tables to serve them. When I arrived at work, my plan was to take a drink of water because I was thirsty, but that didn't happen because I was soooooooooo busy. In the middle of taking orders of 10, I started getting blurry and I started getting light headache. It was so bad, I had to stop the lady who was giving me her order and I ran to the side station. I ended up on the floor, causing me to almost faint. It wasn't the greatest feeling. After that I was so concerned about my baby thinking that he/she didn't have enough oxygen to breathe. My worry of course went away after the doc. visit yesterday. I've learned my lesson to keep myself always hydrated at work.

What else... This year, we are not celebrating Thanksgiving or X=mas with our families this year. Brad is scheduled to work on Thanksgiving and X=mas day; bummer. Since he is so new in what he is doing, he has no seniority whatsoever. Hopefully, he will be able to take some holidays in the future.

A gift from Heavenly Father

So after being in my new ward for almost about 7 months, I received a calling! I'm serving in the Y.W. presidency as a second counselor.

After being without a calling for so long, I kind of got comfortable not really doing anything on Sundays. I kind of enjoyed it, but I'm grateful that I received this new calling. I'm almost getting over my sickness of being pregnant with my first trimester, and I feel that this is the perfect time to receive one. I'm so pumped up and excited about this calling. I really want to make a difference in these girls' lives. Some are struggling and there are many inactive girls. Wish me luck guys;)

A trip to Bakersfield

Last weekend, Brad and I were able to go up to Bakersfield on conference week. It happened to be on Brad's Dad, Dan's birthday on Saturday, so we were able to celebrate it on Sunday, along with our pregnancy announcement. We wanted to announce it when everyone was around but with family of ten kids and their wives, it wasn't possible to get everyone together. So at the end of Sunday night, we finally told ourselves to just say it casually, and told the rest of the family on Monday.

Brad and I are excited to be having this baby. I hope everything goes well and that I will have this baby without scarying the crap out of me because delivery is one of the biggest reasons that has kept me from getting pregnant. hmm.... I wonder if it is going to be a girl or a boy. I have a feeling that it is a boy though. We are kind of hoping that it is a boy, but if it's a girl, we will still be very happy! I just want a healthy baby.

Look What's cookin'

Now, don't freak out when you see this...

Ok, keep scrolling down....

Suprise!

Yes, I'm pregnant. .... And yes, I feel sick every day, but can't throw anything back up. Lucky me... I'm on my 11th week, and got my 2nd ultra sound today. Everything appeared to be fine, which is a total relief for me.

Day in Church

So today I gave my talk in sacrament for the first time in my ward. Of course Brad got out of it, since he has to work every Sunday. My talk was on the "healing power of forgiveness". This talk was assigned to me toward the end of June, and I was supposed to talk in July, but had to postpone it two different times because I happened to be working every time they scheduled me. So today was my day. I couldn't get out of it. I was so nervous because I haven't talked in sacrament in a long time. I guess it went pretty good... Though I ended up crying 90% of the time. I can't think of one time I talked in sacrament and not cry.

After church, the ward had a linger longer. We had tacos and desserts. Brad started an hour early today so that he could get out an hour early. He was able to join me after church to meet members of our ward. It was funny because people were welcoming us into the ward when we have been there for the past 6 months... Yeah, I feel loved...;P I don't blame them. They have never really seen Brad and I only go to church every other Sunday because of my work. I told Olive Garden that I was going to quit if they wouldn't give me more Sundays off. I was a little bit frustrated. It think they are actually giving me more Sundays off from now on, since they don't want to loose such a wonderful server;)

Well, I'm grateful that I got my talk out of the way. I've been thinking about it for the past 2 months! Have a wonderful Sabbath, everyone!

I haven't blogged in a while because not much has been going on, except that my brother came up from San Diego on Sunday night and visited us until Monday night. It was nice seeing him because I haven't seen him for like at least 6 months. I Made Sunday dinner, and we all had a great time just talking about random stuff.

I'm so glad that the heat wave is finally gone here in L.A. This summer was so hot, but enjoyed the times I had at the beach. Brad and I saw rain on Friday and Saturday, and I was glad to see that. The weather was so nice that we finally turned off our A/C last week. I don't do cold weather very well, but sure beats hot weather!

I have decided that I will be quitting Olive Garden by the end of next year. It will be my new year's resolution...( hehhehe..._ My back has always hurt, but it has been bothering me more lately. Plus, the guests here in L.A. area are so rude and careless; it's ridiculous.

As for Brad, he has been really busy lately with his job. Actually, he is always busy because of the area he patrols. Couple of weeks ago, he went to a fatal accident on the 10 fwy. This guy had a skirt on (male prostitute)- he was crossing from one side of the freeway to the next when he was hit by a car in the middle of the night, just before sun came up. Who in the world would do something like that, especially in such a busy freeway? Anyways, Brad was grossed out because his body parts were spread across the freeway and the spinal cord was all bent and out of his body. He hated it because when the corner came, they asked him to hold a sheet up so that they can work on the guy. Maybe I shouldn't have asked him this question, but I remember when he called me, I asked him what he wanted to eat. Poor Brad... He told me that he didn't want to eat any meat or anything gooey.

Well, I hope I didn't make anyone feel sick... I'm kind of getting used to hearing things like this because it happens quite often here in L.A. area.

Have a great day, everyone=)

Phew!

So lately, I have been working 6 days a week. Last night, I didn't get out 'til 12:30a.m. People were still waiting when we closed( Olive Garden). I mean, who eats heavily that late? Pasta is really filling, you know? Anyways, I was off Last Monday, and I don't get off until this coming Thursday. The restaurant is promoting the Never Ending Pasta Bowls right now, so we are going through tons of Pastas. I feel nasty by the end of every shift. If you guys want it, the NEPB is $8.95 all you can eat, and the Soup & Salad is 5.95 right now; go get it, guys;)

So I just been told to get off blogging by Brad. I think he is getting jealous... I told him to not to get in between me and my blogging( hehe...). It's kind of funny because every time I'm updating my blog, he needs me to do something, or just simply tells me to get off because I just park on the couch and tune everyone off. It's ok, he'll get used to it (hopefully)...

Wedding Day

========
My brother-in-law, Nathan got married on Saturday( Sept. 8th) at the Newport Beach Temple. It was a beautiful day and the temple was beautiful. It was a small temple, like the one in Sacramento. It was neat to see someone else get sealed for time and for all eternity. The last sealing I went to was my own, and it has been over 3 1/2 years! It was nice to sit and listen to the words that were said. When I was getting married, there were so many things to take in that I didn't grasp everything, so it was nice to attend and really focus on everything around me. It was a special day for Nathan, and we are very happy for him.

Picture of Nathan and his new wife, Leslie
Their cake looked really good and yummy!!!

Look at my adorable niece, Alexis Clair Lamb. She is 4 months old now.
Russell(Dad), Alexis( Daughter), and Amber(Mom).

It was a special day for Nathan, but it was special for me too, because Brad was able to take the day off and we were able to go to the temple together. It has been a while since he has gone to church with me, and I miss going with him=( It's kind of hard when his work requires him to work every Sunday. It's definitely challenging at times to go by myself, but eventually(hopefully) we can go together again someday. In the mean time, I need to be strong and keep my mind focus and do the things that I should be doing.

Maybe I Don't Like My Job...

Ok... I think I might take back what I said yesterday about loving my job. I just got back from work, and it was the worst serving day ever! I have always said that I would never get upset over a table, but tonight( actually, it's after midnight, so it happened yesterday), guess what?@?!?! I cried so bad! Yes, tears came down; I couldn't believe it either! This lady was giving me the hardest time. She ordered Tour of Italy( consist of fettuccine alfredo, Lasagna, and Chicken Parm)and she wanted to substitute and modified a few things. I was totally fine with that, but when the food came out, she got pickier and pickier. One thing she modified was her pasta... She wanted angel hair with Olive Oil and garlic. She started raising her voice at me and told me that the garlic inside her pasta was not diced. Actually, it was diced (but I didn't want to tell her that)I think she wanted them minced. It seemed like everything was wrong. I think she wanted her food for free. Her and her husband was already being cheap. The husband only wanted Salad and 2 chicken on the side. The wife says, "doesn't mine come with a salad"? Here is the second worst part. Right before the food came out, I went to take some lemon wedges to the lady because she wanted them with her meal. I dropped it at the table, and she yells, "I told you to bring it with my meal!" So, I said, "ok". I reached to grab the lemon and she snatched it out of me and said, "No, you need to leave that here and bring some more when my food comes out!" Literally, seconds later, the food came out. I just couldn't read this lady. Anyways, when her food came out all wrong, she told me what she wanted again, but the way she explained about everything just didn't make any sense. One time, she rolled her eyes at me when she was telling me what she wanted. I almost asked her, "Excuse me, mam, is there something wrong with your eyes?" I didn't because I knew that if I had said something like that and my manager finds out, he would totally fire me. Actually, him and I are pretty cool, he probably would've tell me "good job" like he always does;).
... And of course, the customers are always right, and she complained about her food, so they both ate for free! Sorry loosers!!! I hope they never come back again. I could've spit on their food... Just kidding guys... I would never do something like that.
Thanks for reading, guys! This blog is so useful! I can let my feelings out by writing and people would respond back. I love you guys!!! Hope all is well with you=)

I Love My Job!

Our lease for our place ends this month, and Brad have been mentioning about moving out of this place and finding somewhere closer to Fullerton area (he prefers somewhere close to the airport). Brad has been going on a fly-along with the CHP Pilots, and they told Brad that they are getting another airplane and they are looking for someone to fly it. Right now, they are a little short on airplane staff. Unfortunately, Brad's one year probation is not up with the department, so they can't hire him just yet. The airplane Sargent sounded interested in Brad, so I'm hoping that he will hire Brad in the near future. In the mean time, Brad is trying to get more flying time. I'm hoping that he will get in. Anyways, I was telling Brad that I wanted to work at Olive Garden for at least 6 more months. So we might be moving to Fullerton area in about 6 months to a year. I don't know what it is about me, but I always get attached to my job, and I don't ever want to quit! Though, there are days when I just want to hurt my guests and quit, but there are times when guests are so nice and generous with tips... I just want to love them and keep on working;) I guess I'm addicted to work...
I don't think I ever told anyone that I was sick last week (except Leslie)... For the first time in my entire job career, I called in sick last week on Thursday. I was sick on Wednesday and caught a fever on Thursday, and went away Friday afternoon. I woke up from a pain in the middle of the night, and my upper area of my stomach, below my chest was pounding so bad, I was literally on the floor crying. I don't know what it was, but I feel so much better now. I hope I don't ever experience that again!

So, anyways...anyone know the Fullerton area? We would love to find a good home. In the mean time, I think we are staying here in Burbank...(Yay!)

Another Cadet?

Our friend, Sean Galloway came to visit us for two days. He came all the way from San Luis obispo to take some tests for the CHP. He took the physical test on Friday, Psych. test on Saturday, and on Sunday, he had to oral interview. We are hoping that he gets in. He has been working on it for sometime, and is now able to test, since he has cleared some tickets on his record. It was nice seeing him, since it has been a long time. His wife, Megan was not able to come because she had to work; bummer... But we had fun. Thanks for staying with us, Sean!

Hollywood, Here We Come!

Brad was off last Friday and I didn't have to go to work until 6 that night, so he and I decided to go to Universal Studios. Brad has never been there, and I haven't been there in a long time, so we decided to go. It was nice spending time with each other. It was like a mini vacation for us, since Brad has been so busy with his work and has not had a time to relax and have fun.

These are some of the cars premiered in the movie, "Too Fast, Too Furious"

These are pictures of an airplane movie made by Steven Spielberg

This is where the T.V. show, "Desperate Housewives" film their shows.

Big Frankenstein couldn't resist taking a picture with me... He kind of scared me, I almost cried (yikes!)

Dora The Explorer looked so cute...

I had to take a picture with her!
Brad wanted a picture with his idol, Spongebob. When he saw Spongebob, he was so thrilled(lol) He was so happy to see him;)

I almost got eaten by a shark

Brad and I went to go see a show called, "Water World"; it was awesome.

I saw Scooby-dooby-doooooooooooo!!!

This picture was taken right after the Jurassic Park ride. We got soaking wet, but had lots of fun!

Baby, Sara

Yesterday was my friend, Leslie Ashby's baby shower. I drove to Ventura to join in on the baby shower.

She got a lot of baby clothes and some nice baby blankets.

Look at this blanket that she got. This one is my favorite. I hope I get one like this when I have a baby girl some day...

Wellness Day

Look at my new beautiful friends!

Poor dinosaur...

Today, Brad and his other employee's had a picnic at the Griffith Park. All CHP staff from his office had a day off so that they could all spend some quality time together with their families. It was so much fun! I met a lot of CHP wives; it was awesome! We've played football, Soccer, and the kids got to play in the slip n' slide and Pinata. The only complaint I have is that it started too early( 7a.m.)
At the end of the day, we were so tired from playing sports. Brad told me that we have to be there at 7a.m., because that is when it starts. So I was thinking, "ok, we have to be there when it starts, because today is a day off, but he is getting paid to go". When I got there, I found out that we didn't really need to be there right at 7a.m. I should of known better. Whenever there is a party and we are invited, he always have to be the first one there, and the last one out. He always says, "I might miss something!" Do you know how much I hate that? Surprisingly, we weren't the last one going home, but we were almost the last people out. The best thing was that we didn't need to clean up; however, we had to set up... But I kind of liked it, because I got to fill the balloons with helium and decorate the area before everyone else got there. It was nice meeting new people; we had a great time!
