Another Cadet?

Our friend, Sean Galloway came to visit us for two days. He came all the way from San Luis obispo to take some tests for the CHP. He took the physical test on Friday, Psych. test on Saturday, and on Sunday, he had to oral interview. We are hoping that he gets in. He has been working on it for sometime, and is now able to test, since he has cleared some tickets on his record. It was nice seeing him, since it has been a long time. His wife, Megan was not able to come because she had to work; bummer... But we had fun. Thanks for staying with us, Sean!

Hollywood, Here We Come!

Brad was off last Friday and I didn't have to go to work until 6 that night, so he and I decided to go to Universal Studios. Brad has never been there, and I haven't been there in a long time, so we decided to go. It was nice spending time with each other. It was like a mini vacation for us, since Brad has been so busy with his work and has not had a time to relax and have fun.

These are some of the cars premiered in the movie, "Too Fast, Too Furious"

These are pictures of an airplane movie made by Steven Spielberg

This is where the T.V. show, "Desperate Housewives" film their shows.

Big Frankenstein couldn't resist taking a picture with me... He kind of scared me, I almost cried (yikes!)

Dora The Explorer looked so cute...

I had to take a picture with her!
Brad wanted a picture with his idol, Spongebob. When he saw Spongebob, he was so thrilled(lol) He was so happy to see him;)

I almost got eaten by a shark

Brad and I went to go see a show called, "Water World"; it was awesome.

I saw Scooby-dooby-doooooooooooo!!!

This picture was taken right after the Jurassic Park ride. We got soaking wet, but had lots of fun!

Baby, Sara

Yesterday was my friend, Leslie Ashby's baby shower. I drove to Ventura to join in on the baby shower.

She got a lot of baby clothes and some nice baby blankets.

Look at this blanket that she got. This one is my favorite. I hope I get one like this when I have a baby girl some day...

Wellness Day

Look at my new beautiful friends!

Poor dinosaur...

Today, Brad and his other employee's had a picnic at the Griffith Park. All CHP staff from his office had a day off so that they could all spend some quality time together with their families. It was so much fun! I met a lot of CHP wives; it was awesome! We've played football, Soccer, and the kids got to play in the slip n' slide and Pinata. The only complaint I have is that it started too early( 7a.m.)
At the end of the day, we were so tired from playing sports. Brad told me that we have to be there at 7a.m., because that is when it starts. So I was thinking, "ok, we have to be there when it starts, because today is a day off, but he is getting paid to go". When I got there, I found out that we didn't really need to be there right at 7a.m. I should of known better. Whenever there is a party and we are invited, he always have to be the first one there, and the last one out. He always says, "I might miss something!" Do you know how much I hate that? Surprisingly, we weren't the last one going home, but we were almost the last people out. The best thing was that we didn't need to clean up; however, we had to set up... But I kind of liked it, because I got to fill the balloons with helium and decorate the area before everyone else got there. It was nice meeting new people; we had a great time!

Visit to Bakersfield, Continued...

Last time I was blogging, I didn't post any pictures, so here they are:
This is my niece, Alexis Clair Lamb. This is Kristi (Brad's sister) holding her. Alexis is Brad's older brother(Russell) and his wife, Amber's baby. She is almost 4 months old. She is so cute. Even though she has gained weight, she still looks tiny to me.

Garett Lamb

Here is my silly brother-in-law, Garrett. He thinks he is always funny...

Kristi and I

Brad was able to see everyone when they came back from work and school.

This is my sister-in-law, Kristi and I at my in-law's house. She is visiting home until the end of this month. She currently lives in New York, New York for school and she loves it there. It was really nice seeing her again.

Family Bonding

My two youngest sister-in-laws, Jennie and Kimberlee. Jennie is 12 and Kimberlee is 14. Jennie is in the 8th grade and Kimberlee just started Freshmen in High school; scary...

Here we are at Don Perico's Restaurant. Brad's whole family (except Beverlee- She lives in San Diego and Brad's brother's wife, Amber-she was working) went to spend some quality time together. It was nice to be together again.

Good 'ole town of Bakersfield

Brad and I left at 6:30 this morning to go to Bakersfield to clean our shed. I was surprised because it didn't take too long. Not even an hour! Brad and I wanted to start before the sun caPlme out, but the weather was sweet. It wasn't hot at all; I was surprised. Brad spent the rest of his day out in the field with his dad, and I had lunch (Red Lobster) with his mom, Susan, sister, Kristi, aunt Mickey, and Rahma and Mario who are in the ward we used to be in. I should've got a picture of all of us, but I forgot my camera! So therefore, you won't be seeing any pictures of that... sorry!

I of course went to grocery shopping because things are so much cheaper here in Bakersfield than L.A. I tried telling Brad that the things I bought were on Sale, but he doesn't believe in buying anything even when they are. Can you believe that? I saved so much money;)(hehe...) I just had to take the advantage, while we were there. Hey, when things are on sale or clearanced, it's serious business, yo!

Right now, all I can think about is to go to sleep! I slept at 2a.m. and woke up at 6a.m., so I'm pretty tired. I think I'm going to take a nap for a little while... bye for now!

P.S.
I'll post some pictures later=)

A Day At The Beach

I had the day off yesterday, so my sister and I spent our day at the Redondo Beach. The weather was really nice, we tanned pretty good. We looked really toasty at the end of the day...

It seems like I have been going to the beach a lot this summer. Brad and I have not lived this close to the Beach ever. We've been beach bums. When we both have our days off, we have been enjoying spending time at the beach. This year, our favorite beach is the Redondo beach, since the wave is just right for us to go boogie board.

Brad and I went to the Huntington Beach couple of weeks ago, and found his name on a wall

Suprise!

I got home from work today, and Brad had surprised me with this beautiful pink roses. It has been a long time, since he has bought me a bouquet for no reason, so it was a big surprise! The roses smells really good; I love the smell of flowers! If I had the money to open a flower shop, I would. I love my husband, he makes my day!!!

Love Is In The Air

Auuhhhh..... Doesn't this couple look cute, or what? Nathan, my brother in -law is going to get married to this girl on his left. They are going to get married in the Newport Temple. Her name is Leslie Hendricks, and they are getting married in September. We are so excited for them. They have been dating for like 6 months. They are such a cute couple. We were all wondering when he was going to get married! Good luck, Nathan! See you on your wedding day!

4 Days Vacation

Brad and I were able to take off from our work for 4 days! (Monday, July 30th-August 2nd). It was nice and relaxing. We went up to Nevada and spent 3 days with my aunt, who just recently bought a new house. Her house was nice and spacey. Homes are so cheap there, it's ridiculous! I couldn't believe how big her back yard was. I must say... my favorite part of the house was the kitchen=)

...and look at this dog, she looks cute, but she is a trouble maker. She is so spoiled too! My aunt had this dog since she was a little puppy. She is probably like 13 years old now.

On our visit, we went to Chile's Restaurant. We pigged out. We haven't been to Chile's in a long time, so we enjoyed eating there. My aunt paid for our lunch, so it was an extra plus (hehe...)

On Wednesday night, we were able to see our friends, Liz & Scott. We had not see them since Brad had graduated from the CHP academy, so it was nice hanging out with them at their house. We had ice cream for desert (Yum-0!). They have a really nice house too! (I'm jeoulous...)
As always, here he(Scott) is... Being so silly, he makes me laugh all the time.

Brad and I stopped in Bakersfield and spent the night on Wednesday night. Susan )my mother in law-left, me-middle, & Mickey( Brad's aunt)-right went to Jacalito's Restaurant, while Brad went to spend some time with his dad, Dan, and uncle, Keith=)
