I LOVE Swimming!

Lately, Bakersfield weather has been HOT!!! We cool ourselves by going swimming at my in-law's house. It's nice to go swimming whenever we want. Last year, when Caylee was around 3 months old, we tried letting her swim, but she HATED it. This year is a little bit different, now that she is a little older and more aware. She actually smiles and has a good time!

Surgery Time (Eventually)

Since I had Caylee, my belly button has not gone all the way down. I always wondered if my uterus was not down to its normal size. So today, I went to my new OB/GYN and found out that I have a Hernia=(

What is Hernia? Well, this is what it said online:
A hernia occurs when an organ or tissue squeezes through a hole or a weak spot in a surrounding muscle or connective tissue called fascia.

How can you get Umbilical hernia?
Anything that causes an increase in pressure in the abdomen can then cause a hernia, including obesity, Having kids or those who had children, lifting heavy objects, diarrhea or constipation, or persistent coughing or sneezing.

My OB/GYN told me that it will get worse as I have more children (yikes)! I am not looking forward to having this surgery, yet surgery alone. I'm scared. I have no clue what goes on. Anyone had a Hernia? Mine doesn't hurt, but was told that it will get painful as it gets worse. Any thoughts anyone? Any suggestions/comments will be grately apprecaited=)

Just A Few Sips

Our family loves Sonic! When we moved back in Bakersfield, we were thrilled to see Sonic (especially Brad). Couple of weeks ago, we were all at my in-law's house and and found some Sonic cups laying around. Caylee found one, grabbed it and sipped away (I think there was only water in it....)
Thinking about it....
Goes for it....

Sipped away!

Makeover

Today, I got my haircut! I have been thinking of having my hair cut for the last 6 months or so, so today, I finally got around to doing it. Thanks to Julie who did a great job! What do you think? My head definately feels lighter. I got it cut about 5 inches off.

It's coming along!

We got the news today that our house will be done by the end of this month for sure! We are very excited to say the least. We were fortunate to also get our house price lowered. How? Well, almost 4 months ago we had the company give us a written statement saying that if their base prices of their homes ever go lower than what we agreed for, they would review and change ours 30 days prior to close of our escrow. Well, sure enough, the housing prices has gone done since than, so we went in today and demanded what they promised us with.

We have an appointment to walk through the house on the 25th of this month (June). If all goes well, we are planning on ripping out the carpet downstairs and in the bathrooms (to put tile in) and putting granite in in the kitchen and bathroom counters. Lots of work to do before we move in.... Wish us luck!

She's Walking!

Once again, I have neglected this blog. I need to update it more often and I'm gong to try my best. Every time I think of blogging, I find something else that needs to be done or I get lazy uploading the pictures from my camera. Anyways, I have updated once again. I have blogged a lot, so keep scrolling down.

For those of you who haven't seen Caylee walk yet, I have video taped her when she first started really walking. It's so neat to see the changes in her. She started taking some steps about a month before her first b-day and on Cinco De Mayo, she started really walking. Enjoy the video clip! I forgot to rotate it up right-sorry!

She learned to open kitchen cabinets about 2 months ago, but also learned to crawl into them.

My little booger!

OuCh!

My poor baby had to get a 1 yr check up with the doctors. She had to get 4 shots this time because she missed one of the Hep. shot last time we were there. She weighed only 18lbs 7oz and 28 1/2 inches long. She is still in the 50th percentile.
Trying to comfort her before her shots=(
Wow, they needles were LOoong!
