Engagement/4 Months

Brad's sister, Beverlee just got engaged and she and her fiancee, Mike is getting married sometime this year! Her and Mike were able to come up and visit family members in Bakersfield, so Brad, Caylee and I were able to visit them on Thursday and Friday.

Caylee hardly took any nap, busy looking at people and new things around her. One of very few naps she took, I found her sleeping with her uncle, Preston. They looked peaceful together;)

Caylee turned 4 months yesterday! She is happy and healthy and we are so grateful for her.
When we came back home, she slept for 13 hours straight that night (wohoo!!!)

Fun Week!

For about a week, we have gone out of town and we just came home couple of days ago. Last Thursday, we took a quick trip to Bakersfield to see Brad's family and spent couple of days there. Brad grew up working in his family business and wanted to ride the chopper to cut corn and he had a blast=) While I was there, I went to Kohl's and bought Caylee's clothes for next Spring and Summer. They had some killer deals!

We came home for a day and left again on Sunday to go to Tracy, Ca. to see our friends, Ben and Leslie. We drove to Bakersfield and Brad flew us from there to Tracy. It was Caylee's first time riding in a small plane. I was glad because Caylee was happy throughout the whole plane ride.

On our last day with the Ashby's we took a trip to Danville, CA. to see some of our friends from Roseville, CA. (where we used to live). We met at Liz Perryman's parents' house. We went swimming and had some yummy food. Thanks to Liz and Scott for having us=)

Yum-O!

mmmmmmm!

My friend, Liz posted a recipe for Blueberry Muffins and it sounded so good, I had to make some! The recipe is really easy and doesn't take much to make. Thanks, Liz for passing along your recipe. It is delicious! Come on, give it a try. Here is the recipe:

1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1 cup fresh blueberries

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease muffin cups or line w/ muffin liners (makes 8 muffins).
2. Combine dry ingredients.
3. Place oil into a 1 cup measuring cup; add the egg & enough milk to fill the cup. Mix w/ flour mixture (don't over mix, or the muffins will be too dense).
4. Fold in blueberries.
5. Fill muffin cups to the top, & sprinkle w/ crumb topping mixture.

Crumb Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Mix w/ a fork, & sprinkle over muffins before baking

6. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes, or until done.
